A must-have for GenX!

This was the console that brought me back into the Atari collecting hobby after a 40-year absence! The retro look and feel are amazing, and the HDMI picture looks amazing on a modern flatscreen. I wish the 2600+ was compatible with some of the auxiliary controllers (keyboard, driving, etc.), but that's a nitpick. Overall, one of the best investments I've made in years.

Amazingly fun!

I can’t overstate my love for my 2600+. I’d never owned—or even played—anything Atari until I got inspired to purchase my 2600+. I love that it uses original and new cartridges, the fact that it connects to my modern television with HDMI, and that Atari releases firmware updates to improve the console. I must admit that I got it primarily to play the legendarily infamous 2600 Pac-Man… and it has been worth it. I love my 2600 so much that I even bought my mom her first Atari, which she never had growing up!

Great console!

As a person who haven’t grown up playing Atari I have enjoyed this console.the ten games that have came with it have all been a blast.

Soo much fun to be able to play my old cartridges and not having issues with converting signals

Soo much fun to be able to play my old cartridges and not having issues with converting signals. And having DIP switches on the 10 in 1 game cartridge was master class to use old elec needs!

1977 Teletransported....

Package Arrived perfect from ATARI in a brown box with inside the ATARI 2600+ box, everything worked fine!
I was Teletransported to 1977 again.... Curios to check my homebrew games with an Unocart+ card when i will found one avaible at a nice price.

Thank you ATARI magari!!!

I picked up the Atari 2600+ expecting a nostalgia hit, and it delivered — but it’s also become one of the more interesting pieces of hardware on my desk as a software engineer.
First, the vibe: this is the console every 90s kid grew up hearing about. Plugging in a cartridge, flipping the power switch, seeing those chunky pixels on a modern TV — it’s a kind of joy that a PS5 just doesn’t scratch. It’s simple, immediate, and physical.
But the real surprise is how much of a learning tool it is. If you’re curious about how computers actually work underneath the abstractions — CPU cycles, memory constraints, bit-banging graphics — the 2600 ecosystem is gold. Studying 6507 assembly and the quirks of the TIA chip teaches you more about low-level systems than a year of high-level coding.
Retro fun and an engineering rabbit hole in one box. Highly recommended.

Man, I love this thing

Man, I love this thing. I have been a casual Atari fan my whole life, but I have become obsessed since getting my 2600+ a few years ago. I have built up a huge collection, and I play with my son (who also loves it) all the time. Everything feels right, everything works like it should...it is definitely the best and easiest way to play these games today. Everybody should have one!

Great comeback

The Atari 2600+ is a great comeback and looks really cool in the living room. The pack in Atari games that come with it are a nice bonus. The load time for the games are a little bit longer than I would like it to be, but once it’s loaded up and working, it works amazingly.
