Atari Lynx

This listing is for a used and working Atari Lynx II console.  

This is a second generation Atari Lynx (often called the Lynx II), which brought several improvements to the Atari Lynx, including a more ergonomic design, an easier to use cartridge slot, slightly better battery life, a stereo headphone jack, and a power LED.     

The Atari Lynx was the world's first color handheld portable video game system. Released in 1989, the Lynx offered multi-player functionality, 3D graphic capabilities, reversible controls, and a backlit color LCD screen. The Lynx features a strong library of games and technical abilities beyond that of its contemporaries. Unfortunately, the Lynx was ultimately unsuccessful due to Atari's inability to persuade developers to write enough high profile games for the system. 

Included is a third-party AC adapter (we use them for our own Lynxes as well) and a brand new, boxed copy of Odynexus for the Lynx, an original and exciting homebrew game for the Lynx developed by Ancient World.  You should also check out Growing Ties, another fun and original Lynx game published by AtariAge. 

The Lynx II is in good physical condition, with only minor blemishes on the case.  There are some minor scratches on the screen, but once powered on you don't really see them at all. 

This Lynx II has been tested to ensure it is functioning properly.  Photos are of the actual Lynx II you will be purchasing.

Batteries are not included!  We suggest you buy a Lynx power supply if you don't already have one, as the Lynx battery life is not terribly long.  there are many vendors selling them online if you do a search for "Atari Lynx Power Supply".
