Blocks is a one or two-player color-matching puzzle game, similar to the popular game Bejeweled. Whenever you play Blocks, the game board fills up with colored blocks. You must swap two adjacent blocks to create a run of three or more matching colors. These matching blocks will disappear, and new blocks will drop in to replace them. Each match awards you points, with longer matches awarding extra points.
You can make multiple matches in a line, in parallel, or even at a 90-degree angle! But watch out! If you run out of moves, it is GAME OVER!
Game Variations
- Standard: Each match adds to the progress bar until you reach the next level. The game ends when you run out of moves. Each level gets longer as you play!
- Timer: The progress bar starts full and slowly depletes over time. There is only one board to complete, but every match advances to the next level! If you run out of moves, the board reshuffles, and the game only ends when the progress bar reaches empty.
- Blitz: The progress bar starts out half full and depletes quickly. Each match fills the progress bar, giving you more time. The level is increased at timed intervals. If you run out of moves, the board reshuffles, and the game only ends when the progress bar reaches empty.
- Battle: The progress bar starts out half full. Player One's moves fill the progress bar, while Player Two's moves deplete it. Whoever completely fills or depletes the progress bar wins!

Get a Blocks Box!
If you'd like a boxed copy of Blocks, please select "Box Upgrade: Yes" at the top of the page before adding Blocks to your cart. Our boxes are professionally printed and include a box insert to hold your Blocks cartridge in place. We want you to play our games, so we have not sealed or shrinkwrapped the boxes in any way, allowing you easy access to the game cartridge and manual.
These boxes are the same size as boxes Atari produced for their games "back in the day". They look great sitting on a shelf with your other boxed homebrew games, or alongside games from the classic Atari 2600 library. We only have a limited number of boxes for each game, and there is no guarantee they will become available again once our supplies are exhausted.
Additional Information
Included with Blocks is the game cartridge and full-color 16-page manual. You can optionally purchase a professionally printed box (see above). Blocks supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM television standards (selectable using the TV Type switch and left joystick controller, more details in the manual).
