Description
In October 2016, artist William Thorup created a new Atari-themed illustration for each day of the month as part of Inktober 2016. These illustrations are now available in book form, featuring sixty-eight pages filled with pure Atari Nostalgia. The Inktober 2016 - Atari Propaganda Collection features fan art of a selection of Atari's classic consoles, including the 2600, 520ST, Lynx, and Jaguar. You'll also find a few extra pieces that feature the Atari Panther, the Jaguar Duo, and the JagVR.

Goals from the Artist:
- First, the nostalgia factor. I wanted to create work that any Atari fan can relate to. Featuring product from the 80’s and 90’s, with ad design reminiscent of the era as well.
- Design each illustration with women in mind. Explore the question, “What if video game ads of the late 80’s, early 90’s, focused on both the male and female demographics, as opposed to just the male?”.
- Produce a piece of artwork for each day of the month of October (2016).
- I wanted to incorporate the artistic principle of negative space into my work.
