Magical Fairy Force

Fairy Land is in Trouble!

Welcome to beautiful Fairy Land, a peaceful place ruled by the wise and just Queen Sugar. Everything was perfect here until one day, the evil appeared.

It was small at first. Things started to go missing, people stopped trusting each other. Then the people started to vanish! Entire towns in the farther reaches of the land were wiped out. What was going on?

It didn't take long for Queen Sugar's worst fears to be confirmed. On a small island to the northeast of Fairy Land a dark fortress had been erected, and the flag that flew over its walls was known to the fairy queen. Zevasha had returned.

The dark fairy queen had been defeated and banished by Queen Sugar centuries ago, but her final fate had always been uncertain. Now it was clear that she had been biding her time and gathering her strength. The terrifying cries of her beastly pet, Kitty, signaled the start of Zevasha's invasion. The war for Fairy Land has begun!

How to Play

Fly into the fairy arena as one of eight characters and take on your opponents in airborne duels. Select your character with the controller and press the trigger to lock in your choice. Once both players have chosen their characters, the battle begins.

Player 1 is on the bottom half of the screen, player 2 is on the top. Move your character with the controller and fire at on-screen obstacles with the primary button. In the center of the screen is your flight power, which will steadily decrease over time. Shooting clouds will cause fairy dust to appear, which can be collected to restore your flight power. Touching clouds will drain your flight power, so be careful! If your flight power runs out, you lose the game.

Shooting stars will appear near the center of the screen and shoot at you. Avoid the shots, if you get hit four times you will die and lose the game. Destroy the shooting stars before they vanish to gain fairy power. By pressing the second trigger, you can use your fairy power to attack your opponent. Try each character and see what they can do!

After one character has been defeated, you will return to the character select screen to set up another match.

The manual included with Magical Fairy Force contains more details about gameplay, including a thorough description of the various objects you will encounter on the playfield (shooting stars, clouds, fairy dust, and lightning bolts) as well as a description of each character's unique special attack that can be used once your power gauge is fully charged.
