Oozy the Goo Slime Quest

Oozy the Goo is the younger member of a family of dungeon slimes. Generation after generation, the dungeon slimes have been used as cannon fodder for low-level adventurers, but that is not the life that Oozy wants to live. He wants to be the hero of the story!

Gameplay

Guide Oozy through a massive maze with three floors, containing 75 rooms, defeat the maze guardian and help Oozy to fulfill his heroic dream.

But it is not an easy task, because Oozy doesn't have a map, and it's easy to get lost. Also, the inhabitants of the maze are not exactly friendly! The maze is filled with perils, traps, and creatures, and the time is running against you!

On top of that, the energy of our slimy hero is being drained as time goes on, and once he runs out of energy, the game is over. But not everything is bad news, because while Oozy has some energy, he can respawn over and over.

During your journeys, you'll find a variety of items that you'll need to succeed in your perilous travels. This includes food (restores energy), keys to open locks (necessary to advance to the next floor), mana orbs (so you can shoot mana balls), fire chili peppers (to destroy ice enemies), and water potions (to destroy water enemies).

Oozy can take three forms, his normal form, a flame form that is strong against ice enemies, and a water form, which is strong against fire enemies. The flame and water forms can be acquired by eating a fire chili pepper or drinking a water portion, respectively.

Review

I have ordered two of these (to see if the below problem was a fluke). When I play the game, I can't get past the first obstacle. This is because.when go down the maze to navigate back up to the first switch, it won't allow me to proceed. It remains stuck on that screen. There is a problem with the ROMS that are being released for this cart. I have bought several Homebrews from Atari Age store. This is first problem that I have had. I sent a message to the help desk but have had no response. I would like a working cartridge, then I'd change this review. I watched a YouTube channel of someone with a working cart to see if I was confused about how to proceed. Nope, I just can't do what the person does on the YouTube video. The cart has a bad build on it. Now I have two with that same bad build. Until this if fixed, I must recommend that no one purchases this game.
