The Story
You are a rich, ruthless Texas oil tycoon who stepped over everybody and everything to get to where you are today. Your home is your fortress and is glorious for all to see.
However, your competitors have escaped from prison and are angry, VERY angry. They found out you had them jailed so you could dominate the market. They're after what's rightly theirs and most importantly, REVENGE!!
Your aim is to defeat all enemies in each room, solve puzzles and collect items to increase your score (wealth), and escape your mansion.
Panic! Rooms will require you to plan your lines of attack carefully, ensuring you retreat at the right moments to avoid running out of stamina before you defeat your foes in room-after-room of tough gun battle against an array of opponents with their own strengths and characteristics. Solve the puzzles, be wary of the traps and find your way out of Tycoon Mansion while trying to recover as much wealth (points) as possible!
No-one has ever taken you down...yet!
How to Play
Some rooms in your mansion contain small sub-rooms called Panic! Rooms. Once you leave the Panic! Rooms and enter the danger-zone a continuous alarm will sound and the playfield will flash red. Enemies will be able to engage you in red/danger-zones but not in safe/green zones.
Stamina is represented by the bar in the bottom-right-hand of the screen. Stamina will reduce if you shoot or move around when the screen is red and the danger-zone is active or by jogging when the playfield is green and you are in a safe-zone. Stamina can be recovered by being within a panic room, completing the room or being within a green/safe-zone, or standing perfectly still in the danger-zone.
In a safe/green zone, you can move slightly faster at the expense of your stamina bar by holding down the fire-button. You cannot jog in a red/danger-zone or if there are active enemies on the screen.
You can disarm threats if they are flashing red/green whilst in a puzzle room by touching them whilst green. You may receive additional points in some circumstances.

Get a Panic! Rooms Box!
If you'd like a boxed copy of Panic! Rooms, please select "Box Upgrade: Yes" at the top of the page before adding Panic! Rooms to your cart. Our boxes are professionally printed and include a box insert to hold your Panic! Rooms cartridge in place. We want you to play our games, so we have not sealed or shrinkwrapped the boxes in any way, allowing you easy access to the game cartridge and manual.
These boxes are the same size as boxes Atari produced for their games "back in the day". They look great sitting on a shelf with your other boxed homebrew games, or alongside games from the classic Atari 2600 library. We only have a limited number of boxes for each game, and there is no guarantee they will become available again once our supplies are exhausted.
Panic! Rooms is a Melody-enhanced game and includes game cartridge and full-color 12-page manual. You can optionally purchase a professionally printed box (see above).
Panic! Rooms is an NTSC-only game.
