StoneAge will NOT work on the Atari 2600+ or 7800+ consoles at this time. It does work perfectly on original 7800 consoles. We are working to see if we can provide a firmware update to support this new title.
Dinosaur Eggs for Dinner?
Dinner time in the prehistoric world is no picnic! You are Mr. Gnub, sent out each night by your demanding Ms. Gnub to collect six dinosaur eggs before you're allowed back home! Brave the rugged Stone Age wilderness, armed with only three trusty stone hatches.
Dodge blazing balls of molten lava as they crash across the rocky terrain. But beware... Mama T-Rex guards her nest fiercely! Knock her out if you want to snatch those precious eggs. And don't linger too long -- if the eggs hatch, the baby Dinos will chase you down!
As the night grows longer, new dangers appear, such as a sneaky pterodactyl, who swoops in to steal your hared-earned eggs! Can you survive the Stone Age long enough to feed the family... or will you become dinosaur dinner?

Gameplay
The goal is simple, collect eggs from the mama T-Rex. Doing that is not so simple, but you have effective tools to assist you in your dangerous task. Your feet and your hatchet.
Press left and right on the joystick to move Mr. Gnub left and right.
Dodge the falling lava fireballs while you wait for an egg to roll out and come to rest near the mama T-Rex. Be careful, you can't run up too close to mama T-Rex without getting eaten by her. This is one of the things that your trusty hatchets are for. Approach near enough to mama T-Rex, and then press the primary button to throw your hatchet at her. Don't worry about getting the right angle, Mr. Gnub has pretty good aim. If done correctly, your thrown hatchet will knock mama T-Rex into a stupor, allowing you to approach her and her precious egg.
Running over the egg will collect it. Make your way back to the hut to drop off your newly won egg. Approaching the doorway of the hut will automatically drop the egg.
Collecting six eggs will complete a level, resetting your pool of eggs, hatchets, and increasing the difficulty of your task.

Couch Compliant
StoneAge is a Couch Compliant game. What does that mean? A Couch Compliant game allows you to choose game options and start the game using the controller, meaning you don't have to interact with any switches on the console to do so. When your game is over, you can then return back to the title screen (if applicable) and start a new game without having to touch the console. You can view all Couch Complaint games here.Additional Information
Included with StoneAge is the game cartridge, full color, 8-page manual, professionally printed box, and a poster featuring the StoneAge cover artwork created by William Thorup.
