Tunnels of Hyperion

You are the only human worker in the automated mining installations located in the tunnels of  Hyperion, one of the moons of the planet Saturn.

For unknown reason, the A.I. controlling the complex is going mad and has activated the defense protocols against what it see as a menace: you!

Take the controls of your space jet and fly through the dangerous tunnels of Hyperion in order to fight the murderous A.I. before you run out of energy.

Tunnels of Hyperion is a horizontal one-player shoot’em up game for Atari 7800 by Vladimir Zúñiga.

Couch Compliant

Tunnels of Hyperion is a Couch Compliant game.  What does that mean?  A Couch Compliant game allows you to choose game options and start the game using the controller, meaning you don't have to interact with any switches on the console to do so. When your game is over, you can then return back to the title screen (if applicable) and start a new game without having to touch the console.  You can view all Couch Complaint games here.
