Tyre TraxGet set for the race of your life. With Tyre Trax you are about to embark on a daredevil race across challenging terrain avoiding obstacles and traps. Can you brave the cold and dark? Are you up to the challenge? Oil your chain, test your brakes and grab your helmet, but first, read these instructions. Happy trails!

How to Play

The object of the game is to race through the course avoiding the obstacles. Complete each course by crossing the “Goal” line in the shortest possible time. Your time is shown at the bottom of the screen.

Riding: Your joystick is used to control your bike. Up will take your bike further up the path, down will take you back down the path. Fire increases your speed, Left is the brakes to slow down. If you release the fire button you will gradually slow down.

Obstacles: There are many different obstacles to negotiate on each course. Hitting an obstacle will slow you down and cost you precious time!

Tyre Trax Box

If you'd like a boxed copy of Tyre Trax, please select "Box Upgrade: Yes" at the top of the page before adding Tyre Trax to your cart. Our boxes are professionally printed and include a box insert to hold your Tyre Trax cartridge in place. We want you to play our games, so we have not sealed or shrinkwrapped the boxes in any way, allowing you easy access to the game cartridge and manual.

These boxes are the same size as boxes Atari produced for their games "back in the day". They look great sitting on a shelf with your other boxed homebrew games, or alongside games from the classic Atari 2600 library. We only have a limited number of boxes for each game, and there is no guarantee they will become available again once our supplies are exhausted. Click on the images to the right to see larger photos of the box.

Race the clock and complete the course in the shortest amount of time. Sounds easy but it gets progressively harder as you try to attain the coveted Gold Cup. Your joystick is used to guide your bicycle through the obstacle course and it works with fine precision. I was able to squeeze through various obstacles and did not find any cheap deaths in this game.

The music and graphics are top notch, as is the complete package. The box, label and manual look great and really provide an Activision vibe.

I would recommend setting your difficulty to easy so you can try to win the Gold Cup in each of the 1st four modes, as doing so will provide an opportunity to receive a Trax Master Patch (while supplies last).

Even without Savekey or AtariVox support, this is a top notch game!
