As a ninja, you already have many skills. But there are many more to learn. Today you will learn the legendary technique of the "wall jump". Use it wisely, or face certain doom at the hands of the death beam.

Wall Jump Ninja

To play, first adjust the difficulty switches to your liking. The Left difficulty switch toggles LAVA On/Off. When lava is off, you can use your teleport ability to zip back t o the top of the wall if you slide too low. The Right difficulty switch toggles HARD mode on On/Off. Hard mode makes spikes and other obstacles appear much sooner.

  • Press FIRE to begin your training.
  • Press FIRE to WALL JUMP. HOLD to jump higher.
  • Avoid the Spikes.
  • Collect N-I-N-J-A to use your Ninja Dash.
  • Do not let the death beam hit you!

Jump through the room exits and achieve a new personal record!

They look great sitting on a shelf with your other boxed homebrew games, or alongside games from the classic Atari 2600 library. We only have a limited number of boxes for each game, and there is no guarantee they will become available again once our supplies are exhausted. So much fun! Wall Jump Ninja is a real finesse game. You only use one button on the joystick, and the length of time you hold the button down determines the height of your jump. Good difficulty ramping - the game starts out easy and gets progressively harder, with options for adjusting the difficulty. More obstacles appear the farther you get. Has that addictive quality that I love.

I just love 1-button games like this!
Wall Jump Ninja is a modern-style game converted to an old-style system, and it is very well executed.

Wall Jump Ninja is extremely addictive and the gameplay is super smooth. Highly recommended!

Test your Ninja Reflexes with Wall Jump Ninja.

This game is nothing short of amazing. It is simple old school platforming at it's finest. While one may question the fact this game relies on a single mechanic, it is the essence of Atari style games to keep things simple. With all the fancy homebrews coming out, if feels fresh and new.

Your job is to navigate the obstacle course by sliding down walls and pressing the jump button to leap from one wall to the other. You need to be quick to avoid the lethal plasma beam while dodging spikes and levetating sparks while also avoiding falling into the lava.

There is a fair amount of memorizing patterns from one room to the next. You only can jump by pressing the single left fire button. The duration of your button press controls the height of your trajectory, giving you slightly floatier jump gravity by holding the button down during ascent.

Wall Jump Ninja has 4 game settings by adjusting the left and right difficulty switches. High score for each mode can be individually saved to an AtariVox when plugged into the right controller port.

Gameplay is very addicting and the primary goal becomes surviving as long as possible and besting your old high score.

The visuals are simple but very effective, with high contrast black vertical walls and player sprites against a bright multicolored gradient background of horizontal lines.

Overall an easy 5 out of 5 ninja stars... :)

This is what old school gaming is all about. Simple left/right joystick movement with one button control. Just set your difficulty switches and press FIRE to start the action. The object is to avoid the death beam and spikes while jumping from screen to screen. Wall Jump Ninja has smooth game play, with amazing background colors. This game will have you playing over and over to see how many screens you can complete. Oh and don’t forget to collect the letters to spell out NINJA and invoke your NINJA Dash!

The game also records your high scores via AtariVox or SaveKey support.
